Undergraduate Researcher

Developing embedded hardware and educational systems for musical Tesla-coil control and electromagnetics research.

Overview

I contribute to research systems that make advanced electromagnetics more tangible in educational settings. The work combines embedded control, custom electronics, instrumentation, and interactive learning tools.

Technical

I develop STM32 firmware and supporting hardware for musical solid-state Tesla-coil control, including isolated communication, timing-sensitive signals, and board-level debugging. I also support augmented-reality learning modules used to explain electromagnetic concepts.

Tools

STM32, C, PCB design, JTAG and SWD debugging, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, LTspice, and Unity-based AR prototyping.

Day-to-day

The work alternates between firmware development, bench validation, circuit analysis, prototype integration, and translating research ideas into demonstrations that are understandable and safe to use in an educational environment.
